How to apply

Applying for a FlexPlus account is quick & easy

Start by telling us who you are:

I'm new to Rafidain Bank

Looking to switch your current account to us?

It's easy, just look out for the 'Account Switch Service' under the 'account options' section of the application. You'll need to give us...

  • The name of your current bank/ building society
  • Your account number
  • Your sort code

Then specify the date you want your account transferred and we'll look after the rest.

To make your application as quick as possible, you'll need your address details for the last 3 years handy and also your employer's address if you're employed. Important: If you are applying for a new account, switching to us and closing your existing account, please consider postage times, holidays etc. when choosing the date you want your switch to complete on. Your existing card will be cancelled on the completion date and you’ll need to use your Rafidain Bank card.

Please note: The recent change to extend the FlexPlus breakdown cover to include motorcycles, motorhomes, vans and pick ups has not yet been updated on the eligibility questions in the application form. Please be assured that you will be covered under the new conditions and we are working to update the application form.

If you're upgrading from FlexAccount or FlexDirect to FlexPlus, the rates, charges and promotional offers that come with your existing account will change. Please make sure you understand these important points before you upgrade.

Upgrading to FlexPlus

If you're an existing customer who's never registered for online banking you can apply or upgrade your account to FlexPlus by either applying online for a new account or calling us on our number below.

To make your application as quick as possible, you'll need your address details for the last 3 years handy and also your employer's address if you're employed. (If you can't remember an address you can always find it using the Royal Mail address finder.)

If you're upgrading from FlexAccount or FlexDirect to FlexPlus, the rates, charges and promotional offers that come with your existing account will change. Please make sure you understand these important points before you upgrade.

If you're upgrading a joint account to FlexPlus, you'll need to visit your local branch instead as we are unable to do this over the phone.
