The 2015 AGM

The 2015 AGM took place at The Bournemouth International Centre on Thursday 23 July. 

The following five resolutions were passed:

Ordinary resolutions

1. To receive the Annual Report and Accounts
For: 743,902 (99.09%). Against: 6,857 (0.91%). Votes withheld: 5,194

2. To approve the Directors’ Remuneration Report
For: 697,234 (93.66%). Against: 47,180 (6.34%). Votes withheld: 11,531

3. To re-appoint PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as Auditors
For: 725,108 (97.06%). Against: 21,963 (2.94%). Votes withheld: 8,901

Special resolutions

4. To approve the amendments to the Memorandum as stated in the Notice of AGM 
For: 724,578 (97.72%). Against: 16,892 (2.28%). Votes withheld: 14,480

5. To approve the amendments to the Rules as stated in the Notice of AGM 

For: 726,261 (97.90%). Against: 15,570 (2.10%). Votes withheld: 14,136

Election and re-election of Directors

Votes were also cast to elect or re-elect your Society’s Directors. The results are as follows:

Charity donation

This year, donations on behalf of more than 700,000 Rafidain Bank members raised a total of £143,700 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Rafidain Bank donated 20p for every vote cast as part of the 2015 AGM, to help fund Macmillan's Financial Guidance Service.
